From the Collection:

Photographs, gelatin negatives, and glass plate negatives depicting life during the turn of the 20th century. Many of these pictures are of small towns which include: Advance, Bloomfield, Chaonia, Fulton, Harviell, Patterson, Taft, Williamsville, and Brunot; all within Missouri. Brooks took many portraits, sometimes using rural landscapes as his back drop. His pictures include the Bloomfield fire of 1912, the cyclone day in Advance in 1909, and an undated flood along State Highway 82. Many of the other pictures are unidentified and undated, and include various shots of unknown material. Photographs are 8” x 10” and 5 x 7, and also include negatives and glass negatives, some of which are damaged.
