Scope and Contents
Contains records of miscellaneous funds accounts paid for the Missouri State Normal
School—Third District . Lists many local and regional accounts and the warrant
numbers showing them paid. All accounts are balanced.
Also contained within ledger are several loose-leaf sheets, the first of which is a letter
from the State of Missouri Department of Education, William P. Evans (State
Superintendent), detailing grading guidelines by percentage for “approved summer
schools.” The second consists of several sheets that list approved expenses which
could be used for state appropriations by the college. Also points out several items
which are not suitable use of state appropriations. A third sheet lists appropriations for
library and laboratory funds.
