Scope and Contents

Ledger contains records of the income and disbursements for the Teachers College Farm, arranged in alphabetical order and by vegetable or customer. Records costs for plowing, fertilizing, spraying, picking, delivering, and also the sales of the produce to the different customers (listed individually in the book by name with a listing of their purchases beneath). There are also a number of loose-leaf receipts for the purchase of straw bales, bran, oat meal, shorts, and salt from the Farmers Co-Operative Association, Inc. Mr. Wm. McElreath was the Farm Superintendent for the State Teachers College Farm at this time. Glued on the back pages are some news clippings concerning college experiments in hog feeding.
