Scope and Contents
In the Jaycees Collection, there are photographs of events, slides, VHS tapes, jackets, vests and buttons, banners, invoices, newsletters, membership chapter information, award forms, programs, volunteer forms, drawings, financial statements, and the chapter charter for the Cape Girardeau Jaycees. The bulk of the collection is from the 1980’s to 1990’s.

Abstract
This series contains slides from a presentation titled “Jaycees Excite America” as well as three VHS tapes about the Jaycees organization. The series also contains photographs and negatives of various events and trips held by the Jaycees. The photographs have been left in the original order created by the Cape Girardeau Jaycees. They include photographs of Riverfest, the JAYS Program, a family picnic, the Float Trip, the DSA Banquet, an air show, and the annual Toybox event. Also included are photographs of a golf tournament held at Cape Girardeau Municipal Golf Course, a hayride event, March of Dimes preparation, meetings, Teach to Swim events, the Punt, Pass, Kick event and awards ceremonies, events at Holiday Inn Hotel, and a luncheon honoring a veteran.
