From the Collection:

This collection includes legal documents concerning the acquisition and disposition of land by the Himmelberger-Harrison Lumber Company, including deeds, warrants, and leases to lands in southeast Missouri and Arkansas. Additional records include contracts and correspondence with railroad companies, material on the Little River Drainage project, documents concerning the construction of the Himmelberger-Harrison Building in Cape Girardeau, and correspondence with other businesses. The records are arranged by county where possible, and by subject in other cases.

Abstract

This series consists of 109 small photographs and 24 large photographs and 18 postcards. The small photographs date from 1890 to 1910, mostly undated. The large photographs date from 1885 to 1908, mostly undated. The postcards are all undated. This series includes photographs related to the Himmelberger-Harrison Lumber Company and photographs that are unrelated. No postcards are related to the business.
