This collection contains materials related to the activities of Church Women United of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and surrounding areas. It includes newspaper clippings related to the group’s four annual meetings and other projects; scrapbooks of events, including photographs, programs, letters, and newspaper clippings; meeting minutes; histories; a book; fliers; reports; correspondence; attendance records; planning guides for World Day of Prayer; and CDs. This collection is organized into 4 series: (I) Organizational Histories, (II) Meeting Materials, (III) Scrapbooks and Scrapbook Materials, and (IV) Events.

Abstract

This series contains informational fliers related to CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Sales and Annual Awareness Luncheons from 1997 to 2009. The proceeds from the CROP sales fund different local and international causes. The Annual Awareness Luncheon combines worship with a meal and includes speakers from local organizations that serve the community.

The series also includes World Day of Prayer Planning Guides for 2012 to 2016. The guides contain worship materials; meeting agendas; responsibilities and schedules of host churches; report and evaluation forms; and resource order forms. Also included are 2 CDs for World Day of Prayer 2016 that have photos and music from the event. The series is arranged chronologically.
