Documentary produced by the Missouri Department of Conservation on the drainage of the Southeast Missouri swamplands by the Little River Drainage District Corporation, an engineering project that began in 1907. Includes interviews with historians, archaeologists, LRDD executives, local residents, and biologists with the MDC. Topics include the region’s pre- and early history, and the environmental, social and economic impact of swamp drainage. Running Time: 18:32. Closed captioned.
