Scope and Contents
Contains various historical materials: local newspapers, obituaries of prominent local citizens, scrapbooks of local history clippings, sheet music (titles listed in appendix), articles concerning Mr. Harrison’s career as an agent for the Missouri Farm Bureau, as well as newspapers announcing national news such as the death of Abraham Lincoln.

Most of the oversized items are full newspapers which have not been photocopied and are in extremely fragile condition.

Biographical / Historical
Mr. B.W. Harrison was born in Salem, Missouri. Mr. Harrison graduated from University of Missouri-Columbia in 1936. He worked for the Missouri Extension Service for 40 years first working as an assistant county agent then as a state agent. 10 of the 40 years he spent working in Dunklin County, Missouri. He was married to Hazel B. Huhn Evans who was born in 1902. Mrs. Harrison graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1926 then taught in the Cape Girardeau public schools.
