Lyndell T. Highley Letters
Abstract
Transcribed letters (43p) written by Highley, a former student at Southeast Missouri State Teachers College, to his parents during World War II from Africa, India, and China, describing the places where he was stationed with the 308th Heavy Bomb Group. Highley left college to join the Army Air Corps in 1941. Letters are compiled by Jeffrey Scott Highley, with historical information on the 308th Heavy Bomb group and paternal genealogy for Highley. Includes typed letter from Jeffrey Highley to Director of Kent Library, 1978.
