Scope and Contents

Reports, correspondence, news clippings, and notes all pertaining to the Budget Office. The bulk of the records are made up of reports. The reports are broken up into five series; reports related to fiscal years, budget requests, capital budgets requests, operating budgets and general reports. Within each category of reports there are support documents that relate to the various reports, housed with the reports that they pertain to. The second largest set of records is the correspondence. The correspondence is split up into general correspondence, which deals with general activities of the Budget Office, as well as report related correspondence which are correspondence that relate to a specific report given out or received by the Budget Office. Other records include news clippings, which are newspaper articles about various budgets used and created the Budget Office and notes.

Organizational Sketch

The purpose of the Budget Office is to provide accurate, timely, centralized budget and financial analytical services in order to assist the Board of Regents, senior administrative officers, and operating management in the efficient and effective management of the financial resources of Southeast Missouri State University. Responsibilities of the Budget Office include a University Operating Budget, University Auxiliary Budget, Budget Review Committee, and annual Operating Budget Requests.
