Biographical / Historical

The University was established in 1873 as the Southeast Missouri Normal School. On October 29- 30, 1948 Southeast Missouri State College celebrated their 75th Anniversary, the Diamond Jubilee. The celebration included dinners, a black mask play, pep rally, football game, and exhibits.
