Scope and Contents
The Gadfly was an underground student newspaper first published in March 1967 as an alternative to the Capaha Arrow. The goal of the paper was to foster student discussion on current issues; featured articles are about problems at Southeast Missouri State University and political issues of the day. In addition to The Gadfly, there are two other underground student newspapers, Avante and White Rabbit, which also look at issues in the University community as well as the political scene at large.
