Responses to the Alumni Association from alumni of the Missouri State Normal School at Cape Girardeau declining attendance at the commencement reunion, May 22, 1928. Some letters also include reminiscences about the author’s time at the Normal School that were to be shared at the reunion.

Organizational Sketch
The purpose of Southeast Missouri State University’s Alumni Association is to engage in campus activities such as recruiting students, making career connections, networking with legislators, or arranging reunion weekends. Alumni serve as valuable ambassadors, sharing their enthusiasm and personalizing the University. Since 1925, the board of directors, a group of committed alumni who take on leadership of the organization and work to promote its growth and effectiveness in cultivating the traditions of Southeast Missouri State University, have led the Alumni Association. The board of directors is currently comprised of officers and members from throughout the nation, who serve on a number of special, active committees.
