Scope and Contents
Warrant registers for Southeast Missouri State Teachers College, which record debits and the warrant numbers for the credits of the various college funds for the period January 1, 1919- December 31, 1924. Also contains annual summaries of receipts and disbursements by month.
There is also a loose-leaf bundle of other various notices of over or underpayment and other paid certificates. In addition, enclosed are two copies of “Schedule of Recitations” (class schedule) from the second semester of 1924.

Biographical / Historical
Traditional warrants are issued in conjunction with a bond (known as a warrant-linked bond), and represent the right to acquire shares in the entity issuing the bond. Warrants are issued in this way as a 'sweetener' to make the bond issue more attractive, and to reduce the interest rate that must be offered in order to sell the bond issue.
