Conway of the U.S. Marine Corps. Conway, an Arkansas native, graduated from Southeast Missouri State University before joining the marines in 1970. Before retiring in 2012, Conway served with distinguish.

This collection contains a letter written by Prospect K. Robbins (1788-1847) of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to Benjamin S. Brown Esq. (1805-1838) of Mount Vernon, Ohio. P.K. Robbins was a surveyor of the Louisiana Purchase, specifically the modern day counties of Audraine, Boone, and Callaway. The collection also has a textbook entitled "A Treatise on Surveying." The book contains information and techniques that are similar to what Robbins would have used in his profession.
