Series I: Scrapbooks and Newspaper Clippings, 1886-1982
Ten scrapbooks and three folders of newspaper clippings. The clippings mainly came from Campbell, Missouri publications and consist of wedding announcements, obituaries, articles about family members and local, regional and national events. The scrapbooks also contain personal ephemera, some correspondence and photographs. The scrapbooks contain materials ranging in date from 1886 to 1948. The newspaper clippings folders contain articles ranging in date from 1913 to 1982.
Owen-McCutchen-Merritt Collection
Correspondence, scrapbooks, business and legal papers, ephemera, postcards, and photographs of the Owen, McCutchen, and Merritt families, who were connected by marriage and were influential, early settlers in the Campbell and Four Mile, Missouri communities in Dunklin County. The families owned and operated local businesses including a mercantile company and the Bank of Campbell, and were active in local politics.
