Dalton’s record book consists various combinations of personal memoranda and records pertaining to Co. E, including clothing and ordnance issues, records of the men in his unit (i.e., AWOL, captured, injured), and records of goods issued and payments to individuals affiliated with camp life (e.g., laundresses, laborers).
