Scope and Contents
This collection consists of research papers, projects, reports, and class notes created by students in historic preservation courses. Included are both individual and group projects focused on history of individual people, properties, and regions of Cape Girardeau and Southeast Missouri. These include architectural surveys, oral histories, building reports, cemetery inventories, and internship summaries, as well as supplemental materials given to them by their professors. Papers from other courses taken by historic preservation students are also included, many of which focus on local or state history. Additionally, this collection contains administrative records and ephemera from both the Historic Preservation Association and the Historic Preservation Alumni Association. The collection consists of five series: Historic Preservation Materials, Non-Historic Preservation Materials, Historic Preservation Association, Historic Preservation Alumni Association, and Restricted Projects.

Conditions Governing Access
Some oral histories are restricted from publication and reproduction because they are not accompanied by a release form. If these release forms can not be obtained, restrictions will be removed.
