Biographical / Historical
Wildwood served as the Presidents house. In 1922, the university purchased a 124 acre tract of land to be used as a demonstration farm. On the land was found an abandoned structure which housed a two story wine cellar. In 1923, the building was renovated upon the foundations of the winery. It has been updated, remodeled, and undergone major repairs several times over its lifetime. Currently it is not used as the President’s residence, but serves as lodging for special guests of the University.
