Biographical / Historical

The Honors House is a two-story residential house located at 630 North Henderson Avenue. It was built in the first quarter of the 20th century and has served many purposes for the university. It was purchased by the University in 1952 and was originally used as the Home Management house. After this use, it was referred to as the Himmelberger House. Afterwards it housed the Student Development Center, then University Relations. Currently it is home to the Jane Stephens Honors Program offices and serves as the honors student center.
