Biographical / Historical
Memorial Hall was built between 1948 and 1949 as a Student Union and Lounge. It was designed in the Prairie Style using locally quarried limestone. It was the home of the University Museum until it was moved to the Rosemary Berkel and Harry L. Crisp II Museum at the River Campus. Memorial Hall was named by the Board of Regents in recognition of university alumni who served in the armed forces.
