Biographical / Historical
Johnson Hall was built in 1963 and was originally called North Hall, or the North Hall of Science, and was eventually renamed B.F. Johnson Hall. An addition was completed in 1982 which also bore the name. The addition was made possible through the generous donation of Mary Johnson Tweedy, the daughter of B.F Johnson. The building is named for B.F. Johnson, who taught at the university for nearly 40 years and was a former Chair of the Math Department.
