University Hall was the name the university gave to the old St. Francis Hospital building after it was purchased in 1976 to accommodate the growing number of students in need of housing. While serving as a dormitory, University Hall also housed, at differing points throughout its usage, the Department of Nursing, Elder Care Center and Child Study Center.
