The Martin Buchheit House: A Structural Survey and Historical Analysis, Including Supplemental Materials
This collection contains an examination of the Martin Buchheit House in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri by Richard A. Young. The house was partly constructed with a French-Colonial style and adds to the rich architectural history of the region. The analysis includes inofrmation on early Ste. Genevieve history as it relates to the house. There is also a photograph log corresponding to photos taken of the house and landscape.
Letter by P.K. Robbins from Ste. Genevieve, May 22, 1835 and Related Book
This collection contains a letter written by Prospect K. Robbins (1788-1847) of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to Benjamin S. Brown Esq. (1805-1838) of Mount Vernon, Ohio. P.K. Robbins was a surveyor of the Louisiana Purchase, specifically the modern day counties of Audraine, Boone, and Callaway. The collection also has a textbook entitled "A Treatise on Surveying." The book contains information and techniques that are similar to what Robbins would have used in his profession.
Wayne and Sandy Cryts Family Papers
Correspondence, newspapers, photographs, and legislative materials pertaining to Wayne and Sandy Cryts, a Puxico, Missouri couple who made national headlines in 1981 when they defied federal law and reclaimed their soybeans stored at the Ristine Grain Elevator in New Madrid, Missouri, after a federal bankruptcy court confiscated their beans to pay-off the debts of Ristine’s owners.
