Abstract

Series XI contains all oversized documents to the collection. The bulk of the series are maps that depict parts or all of the state of Missouri, and sites such as Cape Girardeau County, Hunze-Evans, Towosahgy, and miscellaneous sites worked on by Wilkie during his time at Southeast Missouri State University. Also included are two large shell gorget images.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: Dr. Wilkie’s original donation consists of Cultural Resource Surveys conducted by Dr. Wilkie from 1976 to 1986. The collection received in 2004 contained additional Cultural Resource Surveys that were integrated with the original donations into Series I. Also added at this time were slides, photographs, negatives, maps, and additional papers, which consist of the Series II to XI.
