The opening comments in Volume 1 state the personal (and often humorous) comments of the charter members, their life accomplishments, dreams, and realities. The intent was to personalize these individuals for those who would chance to read their comments long after they are gone. Also included in the ledger are minutes and financial reports.

Volume 2 also contains minutes and financial reports. There are also several group photos of the club members, which are labeled 1958, 1962, and 1963. Individuals in the photographs are unidentified. Also included is a program from the 1970 Sigma Tau Delta National Convention at DeKalb University at DeKalb, Illinois.

Contains charter information for the professional English society, Sigma Tau Delta (Alpha Delta chapter) at Southeast Missouri State Teachers College, as well as constitution and bylaws, minutes, and financial reports.
