Colonel John Buxton Interview
Recording of interview with Buxton, conducted by Dr. Paul Travis, professor of history at Southeast Missouri State University. Buxton describes his life experiences in Cape Girardeau and in Scott County. Topics discussed include medical conditions and contagious disease outbreaks as well as campus life at Southeast at the turn of the 20th century. The interview took place July 11, 1979.
Colonel Paul Stanley Bond Diary Collection
The Colonel Paul Stanley Bond Diary Collection was donated by Jon and Dana Lee Sander. The collection includes the diaries of Colonel Bond written between 1932 and 1952. Colonel Bond was a graduate of the United States Military Academy in 1900. He went on to serve in both World War I and World War II. The diaries feature not only his notes on events in his personal life but notes and clippings on national happenings.
