General Orders, Special Orders, equipment reports, legal documents and receipts pertaining to the American Civil War, and originating from the Cape Girardeau district. Pertain to subjects including enlistment, handling and movement of civilians, southern support in the region, supplies for the troops, and changes in command. The collection was a gift of the St. Louis Civil War Roundtable.

This collection consists of publications created by the St. Louis Genealogical Society between 1968 and 1991. The society promotes awareness of family histories by providing access to historical records and teaching how to research.

Illustrated booklet (24p) providing the history and mission of the Vincentian church and seminary at Perryville, [Mo]; and mimeograph typescript (12p) guide to the Barrens church, library and museum, providing a historical overview of the entities and information on the museum and library collections, 1975.

Two copies of typed manuscript (11p) entitled “The Founding of St. Mary’s Seminary: An Historical Sketch, 1818-1968.” Author is unknown.

Booklets commemorating the 100th anniversary of St. Vincent’s College, founded by the Vincentian Order in Cape Girardeau in 1843, and informational leaflets on the history of the school and Jesuit education, 1962-circa 1970s. Illustrated anniversary booklet (24p) provides a history of the school and Catholic education, information on former presidents, and current staff and students.

Ephemera from Stanley and Ethel Atchison’s days as students at Southeast Missouri State Teachers College, including their diplomas, transcripts for Mary Ethel Harty (Atchison), and programs and newsletters from the college’s chapter of Sigma Zeta, a national science honorary.

Primarily articles concerning Southeast Missouri State College and southeast Missouri, but also includes national news articles.

Bound transcripts of “State College on the Air” radio transcripts, directed by Ted Allen, shows number 1-8.

Articles and photographs concerning the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a few articles regarding Rolla's college.

French colonial and territorial records of the District of Ste. Genevieve, and Ste. Genevieve County records and court records. Approximately one-third of the documents are dated 1756-1804; the rest dated 1805-1930.
