Materials relating to the Wednesday Club of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a literary and public service club for women. The club was part of the Missouri Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs. The collection consists of minute books, photographs, memorabilia, roll booklets, Missouri Club Woman newsletters and scrapbooks.

Materials relating to the World War II Weingarten Prisoner of War (P.O.W) Camp located in Weingarten, a small town in Southeast Missouri. Includes photographs, negatives, camp publications, newspaper clippings, and microfilm.

Map of the city of Cape Girardeau, MO. Includes locations of various schools, libraries, public buildings, and shopping locations. A street index is included as well as a brief description of visual landmarks of the city.

Records of freight carried on the steamer “Whirlwind” for trips to and from different destinations on the Mississippi River for the year 1852. John A. Williams was listed as the Master of the steamer.

Water color print of Whitewater Presbyterian Church in Sedgewickville, [Mo] by Ruth Elaine Maples. The watercolor was done for the church’s 150th anniversary and includes an inset of the original log cabin church. Also includes a brief history (1 pg) of the church by Maples.
